An interesting and varied menu, with some unusual and interesting choices. The menu changes according to what's at the markets, but there is something for everyone, including a vegetarian chefs tasting.
Everything we had was great, from appetizers to mains to desserts.
No liquor license, but there's a wine store right right down the block. This is a young chef with CIA and Philly kitchen credentials who has an exciting future ahead of him.
We don't get down to AC that often (NYC natives), but when we do, we will be sure to eat here.
I have been to brunch twice and both times were amazing. I consider myself quite the foodie, so I can be difficult to impress when it comes to food quality, presentation, service, and atmosphere. Cardinal Bistro is quickly becoming my favorite small farm to table restaurant. I will certainly be back over and over again and will highly recommend this local gem to others. Kudos to Chef Michael and the staff for exemplary service. Other small restaurants in the AC area should take note - THIS is how you do business. I wish you continued success, but not so much that I can't get a table!
Had an excellent meal last night at Cardinal Bistro. Place is decorated simply but nicely. Staff was very friendly. Assorted hot rolls and delicious house-made butter were a great start. The avocado app was great; simple avo and pear with a honey lime glaze and some crunchy puffed grains. Lobster roll sliders were good, but slightly heavy on the aioli for my taste. We ordered them without the kimchi. I didn't taste the shrimp dish, but I didn't have a chance because it was gone quickly. Star of the show was the perfectly cooked lamb chops. Four good sized chops, well seasoned. Loved them.
Bravo Cardinal bistro . My party enjoyed the duck, chicken, and beef for our entrees and the shrimp, crab, and avocado dishes for our appetizers. One of the guest from my party has mentioned on several occasions about having cravings for the crab appetizer and so I know now where to get her a gift card for her next birthday. We loved the home like atmosphere they created. I can't wait to go back next time I will save room for dessert.
